Most importantly of all you will have fun! On average 8 out of 10 people on our beginner lesson achieves stand up.

We cater for a wide variety of people including:

Children
Teenagers
Families
School and College parties
Armed Forces
Corporate events
Stag & Hen groups

Those taking part:

Be able to swim 50 metres in open water
Notify us of medical conditions (in consent
form prior to the lesson)

Wear trunks or a swimsuit under wet suit.
For afters just bring a towel, we supply
wetsuits and boards.

The QUIKSILVER SURF SCHOOL NEWQUAY operates out of purpose built surfing academy at the Esplanade Hotel on the Pentire, Fistral Beach, Newquay. Offering hot showers, secure changing rooms and an indoor coaching area for safetly briefing and dryland coaching, the Newquay surf school is right next to the world famous Fistral Beach.

Coaching is provided by Grishka Roberts who is a former UK & British Champion. Grishka has been coaching surfing in Cornwall for over 10 years and is well known on the UK surfing scene. Providing expert coaching for beginners along with his team of instructors, Grishka is also able to offer expert advanced training for those who are perfecting their surfing and need advanced coaching.
