The Bay Hotel is licensed to conduct the wedding service and we have a number of function rooms from which you can choose from.
As a family run hotel we pride ourselves on the understanding that each bride and her family has special, unique requirements. For this reason we offer a bespoke service and can tailor our facilities to meet your individual needs. Our dedicated events manager will be on hand to liaise with you throughout to ensure your day meets your needs.

Civil Ceremonies at The Bay
Civil wedding ceremonies at The Bay Hotel offer a popular alternative to a church or registry office. Since being awarded our licence in 2008 the number of weddings we organise completely in-house have increased year on year. Much of the feedback we receive emphasises how much a bride and groom enjoy having their wedding service and celebrations in one venue; less stress and more enjoyment for the entire wedding party and their guests.
Civil ceremonies are conducted by the Superintendent Registrar and registered by the Registrar. If you've decided to have a civil wedding, it is essential to make an advanced booking with the Registrar. The earlier you book, the more likely you are to get the date you want.

Wedding Accommodation at The Bay
The Bay Hotel offers flexible accommodation for your guests. Recently awarded 4* status, all of the hotel bedrooms are attractively furnished to ensure your guests' stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To help ease the expense we offer 10% off all rooms booked for your wedding guests. Plus, when you book your wedding with us, you two get a complimentary Best room to enjoy on your wedding night!
Hotel rooms are ordinarily available at 3:30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10:30am on the morning of departure. As weddings do not always fit in around those times, we have got both early check-in and late departure options available. The number of rooms is obviously limited in these instances and we can only arrange in the few weeks preceding the big day. These offers are allocated on a first come first served basis.
